So I made it through the first week of P90X! Whew! Sunday was suppose to be a rest day, but we ended up going to Busch Gardens for their Halloween festivities. So I did a lot of walking, I guess so much with what I did the rest of the week, I hurt my left foot. So when I workout out Monday night, I pulled something in my stomach too so Tuesday I took the day off. It was the one where there’s lots of jumping around, I probably would have made my foot worse. But today I will stay up late after church and workout. I need to see a difference, so far I don’t see a noticeable difference other than I could do a few more push-ups Monday night and we found some weights and I used those to help with different things. Anyways, maybe I will see something in a couple of weeks. I just can’t give up which I know I do a lot. Just wanted to post!
So tonight I did day six of P90X and whew, it was a workout! It was kind of like boxing with all the leg kicks and such. It was tough, but I did it. I’m just hoping that this will work! I can feel it working everywhere! We’ll see soon if anything is happening. Just wanted to post!
So I have only missed one day this week, Day Three, just because the day got away from me and I had to get up super early on Thursday so I chose to go to bed. But I’ve done four out of five, I think that’s pretty good! I have two more days of this week and then we’ll repeat it again!
Last night was yoga, I made it through about half of the workout. I just can’t do most of the yoga stuff so hopefully over time I’ll get better. I will admit that I could do more today when I did the legs and back and the ab ripper. So it’s helping. I haven’t weighed or measured, I’ve been tracking what I’m eating on Sparkpeople so it’s helping to put it “on paper” so to speak. I am working hard to not go over my limits. I think I’ll get better over time.
I will try to take a photo at the end of next week to see if I am getting smaller. We shall see!
You read that right, we are borrowing my husband’s P90X videos so we can see if you can really get fit in 90 days. That’s like three months so I hope we get it done! DH will probably turn out looking great, here’s hoping that I will shed some pounds and tone up as well.
Last night I did it, it takes 90 minutes and it was lots of push-ups and chin-ups (65 minutes) and then 15 minutes of ab work. Now it isn’t like 65 minutes of push-up after push-up. You did what you could for like a minute, took a quick break, moved to chin-ups, then back and forth. There were several versions of the push-ups and chin-ups used and then you did them in a totally different order so you kept your body working. It wasn’t too bad except I could hardly do the push-ups, but I tried my best.
I went ahead and measured this morning so we have a record. I also jumped on the scale and couldn’t believe with it said, but I could since I really haven’t been paying much attention to what I’ve been eating. So here goes. One week from today, I will post new measurements and let’s hope they go down!
10/7/2008
Weight - 230lbs
Hips - 52″
Waist - 40″
So it’s out there for everyone to see. Help me stay motivated!
So I have started drinking green tea which everyone says is good for weightloss. I was hoping to be able to exercise today as they say if you drink the tea and then exercise, you burn more calories. But alas, the kids weren’t cooperating with me! But I wanted to take my measurements to see what happens. Right now, my waist is 40″ and my hips are 52.5″. That’s all I’m worried about right now. Let’s see what happens in a week! BTW, my scale is broken, so until I can get a new one or go someplace to get my weight, I’ll have to just wait on updating that.
So I guess it’s time to get going again. Summer got absolutely crazy, but I need to get moving again. My scale is broken so I’m not sure what my weight is, but it’s either the same or a little higher. I have been walking the girls to the bus stop three mornings in a row and I’ve walked to pick them up each afternoon. That’s about 20 minutes a day of walking. It’s not super fast, still have two other children in tow, but it’s getting out and moving. My friend posted a running routine that begins with walking so I think I’ll try that so maybe the weight will get moving. My goal is to lose at least 20 pounds by Thanksgiving. Cheer me on!
Hello! Sorry that I haven’t posted much. My weight has stayed exactly the same lately and then I’ve been having some heart problems. I have a condition called Premature atrial contractions (PACs) where my heart skips a beat. So my doctor has said I need to get the weight off and start exercising so the condition can fix itself. So I’m hoping that I’ll be able to get it moving! Cheer me on!
Yep, I stayed the same last week so I didn’t post, but today I was down another 1.5 pounds! That’s exciting for me! I like it when the scale goes down! That brings me to 217.5lbs. One good thing, the other day I was able to pull a pair of jeans off without unzipping them so it’s probably going to be time to move down to a smaller size very soon!
I have been trying to do some toning exercises for my legs and I hope those start to show soon. It’s been hard to find time to work out so I just try to fit in the toning when I can. Usually when I’m standing at the kitchen counter peeling potatoes for dinner or making lunch! But it’s a good day to see the scale move. TTFN!
That’s right, I’m back at 219lbs which is what I was when I got pregnant with Jonathan! Whew! Back again to my pre-pregnancy weight is good. Now I just have to keep it up. My goal this week is to try and get moving some more. I have been trying to walk more, not only for the exercise, but to save on gas! Geez louise with the gas prices nowadays!
I went back and looked at what I was at the beginning of the year and I’ve lost 10lbs since January 1 so I think that’s good. It’s slow, but good so maybe it’ll stay OFF!!!

Sorry I haven’t been posting too much. I’ve been stuck at 221lbs since February. So I decided to try something brand new. But first, I have finally broken past 221lbs down to 220.5 which I know, it’s not much, but it’s the first time in months I’ve been below that mark so I’m celebrating!
So what have I been doing? Well, something that’s getting people’s attention since I’ve had several people tell me that I’m looking skinnier. I watched a show on TLC called “I Can Make You Thin” and it was awesome. It gave me a whole new outlook on how to lose weight. Simply put, I’m eating what I want, I’m eating it consciously, and I stop when I’m full. I’m also trying to do more and when I think I’m going to go overboard, I just stop and press two of my fingers together and the feeling is gone. It’s been so much better than trying to diet and failing.
I will try and measure myself here soon and see if there’s any change there. Wish me luck!
